Dry shampoo, while it’s been around for years now, hasn’t quite been picked up by Filipinas yet. And the reason probably lies in the simple fact that we are clean freaks — taking 2, sometimes even 3 (on a really hot summer’s day) showers a day. But let me tell ya ladies, dry shampoos aren’t all that bad. Here are 5 reasons why you should probably embrace skipping the suds.
1. Hello extra
15 60 minutes (a whole hour!) of sleep. Let’s be honest here, who thinks washing their hair is a pain in the butt? *raises hand* I mean seriously! Between the shampoo, conditioner, drying, styling — whew! It’s no joke what a woman has to go through to make sure her crowning glory looks perfect. Thanks to dry shampoo though, we can skip washing our hair more often and do more things with our time, like paint our nails or whiten our teeth. Or best yet… get more sleep!
2. Say it with me now… sexy second-day hair. Natural, lived-in, easy to style (if not already styled cos it’s kept your gorgeous curls — now waves). ‘Nuff said.
3. Instant volume. The higher the hair, the closer to God. I hold this saying near and dear to my heart because really, no one likes flat, lifeless hair. It’s just wrong, on so many levels — or lack thereof.
4. Better than hairspray. If there’s backcombing that needs to be done to get the situation on your head situated, dry shampoo is your best friend. There’s just something in that stuff that holds way better than hairspray and it doesn’t weigh your hair down.
5. No (oil) spills when traveling. Because one, it’s in an easy-to-use, easy-to-carry-around (travel-sized 50ml) aerosol can (no spills), and two, it absorbs the excess oil your scalp produces overnight (no more oily/greasy locks).
